Shepard Hut
Shepard hut located next to the venue in the woods, can be added to the price of your booking for £200 a night. It is also available for holiday bookings, please enquire for availability.
What will we need to arrange?
Rydals meadow venue allows you to personalise your event by selecting your own suppliers. If you need any help with recommendations we are happy to help.

- Portable Toilets - At event site and at campsite
- Mobile Bar - Often free if drinks are charged for
- Catering - Such as event caterers or food trucks
- Music & Sound System - Such as live band and DJ's
- Stage - If you are having entertainment that requires this
- Bins & Waste Disposal - Waste must be removed from the venue
- Fridge for food and drink storage - Often provided by caterers or bars, you may want a cooler trailer.
- Security - If you are leaving valuable items unattended or overnight you may wish to book security
- Outdoor Furniture - Picnic benches or seating for guests outside
- Outdoor Games - Such as croquet and rounders
- Outdoor Cover - Such as a stretch tent if you would prefer to stay outside even if it rains.
- Glamping Tents - If not all guests would like to bring their own tent or campervan, companies can set these up onsite.
- Portable Showers - If guests wish to get ready for the big day on-site
- Additional Generators - If you require power at the campsite or if you event requires large amounts of electricity. We can advise what our supply can accommodate.
- Decorations - Such as flowers, table decor, entry tables, gift area, cake area and bunting.
- Photo Booth - Area inside the marquee where guests can take fun photo's

Frequently asked questions about our venue and having a marquee weddings.
Yes, Rydals Meadow doesn't provide a bar so you can choose whether to hire a mobile bar or provide your own alcohol. We will take out a temporary event notice to cover the sale of alcohol at the event. We can also recommend a bar company if you would like one to be arranged.
You can have a band, DJ, or live musicians. Make sure to book one that provides sound equipment such as speakers. We require music to stop by 1pm.
Yes, camping is included in our wedding package and can be added as an extra for our 1 day events. You will need guests to bring tents or campervans or you can arrange for a glamping company to set up tents on the site if you would prefer. We also recommend you book portable toilets for the camping area as these are not provided.
Yes, we have a field available for parking. We ask that cars are left in the parking area rather than on the campsite unless it is a campervan to allow ample space.
If you are not getting married in a church you can have a non-legal ceremony in the grounds of the venue with a celebrant as we are not licenced. This involves doing 'the legal bit' prior to your big day.
Please only use flower petal confetti on the venue site to ensure it is natural and will breakdown without impacting the countryside. Please ensure that guests also don't bring their own confetti that is not flower confetti.
Yes dogs are allowed on site, owners are responsible for their behaviour and wellbeing. Please make sure all dog waste is cleared up by owners.
